Feb 1-5: 34th Reel Music
This film and music festival is an annual showcase that explores the interplay between sound, image, music and culture. The festival features collections of vintage performances, documentaries, music videos, and animations. It also explores a wide variety of music genres including rock, blues, jazz, classical, opera and avant-garde.
Feb 1-26: The Tale of Sleeping Beauty
Northwest Children’s Theatre and School presents the world’s oldest and revered fairy tale: The Tale of Sleeping Beauty. But this time it has been taken over by a company of crazy bird puppets! These feathered friends will stop at nothing to step into the lime light and re-write history! Most enjoyed by ages 5 & up.
Feb 3-4: Portland Seafood & Wine Festival
The 12th annual Portland Seafood & Wine Festival returns to the Oregon Convention Center smack dab in the middle of Dungeness Crab Season! This Portland tradition will feature Oregon seafood, Oregon wine & craft beers, sand sculptures, face painting, balloon artists and much more. Bring the family!
Feb 4: Chinese New Year Cultural Fair
2017 is the Year of the Rooster! The Portland Chinese Times and Portland Art & Cultural Center have joined together to celebrate the New Year at the Oregon Convention Center. This cultural fair will feature food and drink from local Chinese restaurants, cultural performances, and arts & crafts.
Feb 8-12: Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show
This is the largest sportsmen show west of the Mississippi and one of the most anticipated events for outdoor sportsmen of all ages. Feb 9-25: Portland International Film Festival
The Portland Art Museum hosts the 40th annual Portland International Film Festival. Attracting an audience of nearly 40 thousand people, this festival is the biggest film industry event in Oregon. It will showcase more than 140 international feature films and shorts.
