Oct 1-31: Haunted Pub Tour

This spooky 2.5 hour ghost tour ventures to the pubs and hotels in Portland’s historic Old Town District. Enjoy several local brews at your stops while learning about this area’s disturbing and wicked past—haunted by resident ghosts and plagued by paranormal activity. A special stop will be made at the Shanghai Tunnels, featured on the Travel Channels’ “Ghost Adventures”.


Oct 6-8: 2017 Sport & Fitness Expo

The Portland Marathon hosts the 33rd  Annual Sports & Fitness Expo Friday and Saturday at the Hilton Portland. Admission to the expo is free and gives marathon participants a chance to pick up their race bibs and packets. Sunday will feature the full and half marathon.


Oct 7: The Wedge – Chees Festival

This farmers market-style festival celebrates the wonderful world of cheese and everything that goes with it! Sample and purchase local, artisan cheese, beer, wine, cider, and specialty foods. Featuring more than 60 vendors and all proceeds go to the Oregon Cheese Guild.


Oct 12-15: Portland Fall Home Show

Join the home experts, pros and gurus at the Portland Fall Home Show. Located at the Portland Expo Center, this event will feature home-improvement vendors, landscaping displays, designer rooms, and a wide variety of beautiful plants. You don’t want to miss out on the Northwest’s only fall home event!


Oct 14-15: Portland Pet Expo

Grab your pet and come on down to the Portland Pet Expo for everything that this exclusive event has to offer. Shop, learn, play and adopt! The Pet Expo will feature tons of exhibits, live entertainment, demonstrations, adoption & rescue groups, discounted vaccinations, prizes, giveaways, advice & information about pet care and volunteerism. Oct 14-15: Portland VegFest

Recognized as Oregon’s premier plant-based food and lifestyle event, the Portland VegFest is expected to be bigger and better than ever! This vegetarian festival celebrates plant-based living! Enjoy free food samples, health and nutrition speakers, fitness stage workouts, chef demonstrations, films, restaurants, and activities for the whole family!


Oct 27: ‘80s Video Dance Attack – Halloween Party

Throw on you best 80s attire and head over to the Crystal Ballroom for the return of their haunting Halloween party.  This freaky 80s night is a fantastic excuse to dress up and celebrate the holiday with friends!  Lights, music, dancing, 80s hits, Halloween videos, costume contests and prizes will all be lurking here! 21 and over.


Oct 27-29: Antique and Collectible Show

Noted as America’s largest antique & collection show, over 1000 vendors sell period furniture, toys, jewelry, lighting, books, vintage clothing, art, advertising, pop culture and so much more at the Portland Expo Center. Swing by to get your hands on vintage treasures from every era!


Oct 28-29: Howloween at the Zoo

This educational and fun event boasts activities, scavenger hunts, goody bags, treats & prizes, and your chance to watch the animals devour pumpkins! Best suited for children 2-12 years old and is free with zoo admission.


Oct 29: Not-So-Scary Halloween

A “not-so-scary’ Halloween for the kids! Portland Children’s Museum provides entertainment and crafts for the little ones. The Not-So-Scary Halloween will include trick-or-treating , pumpkin smash and gooey guts, spooky story times, glow in the dark painting, and a costume dance party.
