Sept 1-2: Art in the Pearl

Named one of the top 10 Arts and Crafts Festivals in the country, Art In The Pearl features over 130 booths, art, theater, music, and hands-on activities. This Labor Day weekend festival spans the Northwest Portland Park blocks and is free and requires no tickets for entry.

 

Sept 1: Tour de Lab

Suit up in your best K9 attire or bring a stuffed pooch to the Lucky Lab’s Tour de Lab in support of DoveLewis! This 15 mile or 42-mile urban bike ride commences at the Lucky Labrador Brewing Company.  Finish your journey with an all-you-care-to-eat hot dog buffet and Lucky Lab beer in a souvenir pint glass.

 

Sept 5: The 2019 Standard Volunteer Expo

The Standard Volunteer Expo returns to Pioneer Courthouse Square. This event features local nonprofits in the Portland Metro Area that help match volunteers with organizations that fit their skills and interests. Focus areas include arts, culture, humanities, the environment, animal welfare, health, human services and more.

 

Sept 7: 2019 AIDS Walk Portland

AIDS WALK PORTLAND is a fun 2.4-mile walk for family, friends and the whole community. Walk to raise awareness & funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS. See site for details and registration.

 

Sept 14: 2019 Belmont Street Fair

The 2019 Belmont Street Fair is a popular Portland event with live music, entertainment, art, vendors, kids’ activities, food, and beer gardens on SE Belmont Street from 33rd to 39th. Free!

 

Sept 14-15: El Grito Festival 2019

As the Mexican President presents the nation’s traditional El Grito in Mexico City, so too will Portland commemorate Mexico’s independence at the Rose Quarter Commons.  This event celebrates the independence of Mexico and other Latin American countries from Spain and features authentic cuisine, Aztec dancers, live mariachi, salsa, cumbia and much more!

 

Sept 14-15: Fall Rose Show

Portland Rose Society—founded in 1889, America’s first rose society–will hold its annual fall rose show at the Lloyd Center Mall! Billed as America’s largest and longest-running rose show.

 

Sept 20-22: Oregon International Air Show

Attracting more than 65,000 people each year, The Oregon International Air Show features airplanes up close and in the air! Experience aerobatics, skydivers, a kids’ zone, and beer garden at the McMinnville Municipal Airport. Don’t miss out on Oregon’s largest aviation event!

 

Sept 21: Museum Day Live!

Local museums include the Portland Art Museum, Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, Oregon Historical Society, Portland Chinatown Museum, and more! Sept 27: 14th Annual Dancing In The Square Powwow

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board and other local Indian organizations invite you to join them for the 2019 American Indian Day Celebration at Pioneer Courthouse Square. This event features vendors, educational booths, food, dancers, drummers, musicians, artisans and more!
